Travis Sessions

Founding Partner

Travis is a Founding Partner of Wasatch Health, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy. He brings more than two decades of experience across investing, management, and operations, including scaling Biomerics into a global medical device contract manufacturer. Before founding Wasatch Health in 2015, he held leadership roles at Microsoft, Dow Chemical, Parker Hannifin, and Biomerics, and holds a bachelor’s degree from BYU and an MBA from Michigan Ross.

Brennen Brown

Founding Partner

Brennen is a Managing Partner of Wasatch Health and leads the firm’s capital markets strategy and internal operations. He brings more than 15 years of experience from Goldman Sachs and D.A. Davidson, where he closed over $4 billion in transactions and oversaw nearly $10 billion in volume. He graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University and serves on several boards, including Utah Africa Mission, which he co-founded to help alleviate poverty in East Africa.

Aaron Gerszewski

Managing Partner

Aaron is a Managing Partner of Wasatch Health, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio oversight. Since joining the Wasatch Group in 2019, he has driven diligence, deal structuring, and operational improvements across numerous portfolio companies, serving on more than a dozen boards. He previously spent nine years at Reef Capital Partners and holds dual degrees from Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University.

Joel Larson

Managing Partner

Joel is a Managing Partner of Wasatch Health and brings extensive experience across real estate, financial analysis, budgeting, and asset management. He joined Wasatch more than 20 years ago after working at Deloitte, and today oversees divisional operations and venture investments across the Wasatch Group’s portfolio. He holds a Master of Accounting from Utah State University.

Luke Larson

Vice President

Luke is a Vice President at Wasatch Health, where he leads the investment team and oversees thesis development, sourcing, market research, and due diligence activities. Before joining the firm, he held various roles in corporate development, finance, and market research, including positions at Koch Industries and Ford Motor Company. He graduated magna cum laude from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.

Zane Lyons

Associate

Zane is an Associate at Wasatch Health, where he helps evaluate growth-stage companies and supports diligence by evaluating markets, researching targets, analyzing competitors, and contributing to portfolio strategy. Before joining the firm, he worked in equity research at Sax Angle Partners and consulted for UCS, a soft-goods manufacturing startup. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business.

Scott Ptach

Vice President, Finance & Operations

Scott is the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Wasatch Health, where he oversees the firm’s accounting, finance, operations, and compliance functions. He also supports due diligence and value-creation efforts across the portfolio. Scott brings broad experience from roles in audit, CPG finance and operations, and real estate, and holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, graduating with honors.

Tammie Barlow

Director, Accounting

Tammie is the Director of Accounting at Wasatch Health, where she supports portfolio companies across accounting, finance, HR, and real estate operations. Since joining Wasatch in 2018, she has worked across multiple divisions, including Real Salt Lake and the Wasatch Restaurant Group, and now plays a central role in portfolio infrastructure and process improvement. She brings more than 25 years of leadership experience, with deep operational expertise and a solutions-driven approach.

Spencer Funk

Investor Relations Manager

Spencer is the Investor Relations Manager at Wasatch Health, where he leads capital-raising efforts and oversees investor onboarding, reporting, and regulatory compliance. He previously served as an Operating Partner in the Wasatch Group’s venture division, supporting investment strategy, deal structuring, and portfolio value-creation. He began his career in KPMG’s M&A advisory practice and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, as well as a juris doctor from Brigham Young University.
